For a music festival, it’s remarkable how much of your time at ‘Festival Internacional de Benicàssim’ is spent doing seemingly everything except listening to music. From go karting, to lounging on the beach, to swimming in the Mediterranean or just going wild at the nearby waterpark. There’s so much to do in the small town of Benicàssim that you definitely need the full eight days of included camping to make the most of it.
As soon as your plane hits the ground in Spain, the staples of a British festival (raincoats, umbrellas and wellies) fade into a distant memory and you realise that you’re finally going to experience a rain-free festival. The campsite is situated just outside of the main town, in a picturesque location, right by the Spanish mountains.
Of course, with the big name acts playing this year, the music was still the main focus of the festival, with tens of thousands of festival-goers gathering at the main stage for the headline acts.
