Digital Editor Archie Marks writes on how you can get involved to support the future of Redbrick
At Redbrick, we’ve spent almost 100 years delivering top-quality journalism straight to you. From reporting on current Birmingham news and producing insightful opinion pieces to reviewing the latest music, films and TV, Redbrick is proudly student-run. We’re comprised entirely of volunteers with a passion for informing, inspiring and innovating.
But we need your help to continue telling our story.
Rising costs and limited funding are making it increasingly difficult for us to continue delivering the outstanding articles you value. Without support, we risk reducing our output – that means fewer opportunities for young writers and journalists to gain the vital experience they need to break into the industry.
Like many student publications, running Redbrick isn’t cheap. With web hosting, software subscriptions and print costs adding up, we’re in a vulnerable position – particularly as we approach summer, with fewer financial resources available.
Every donation we receive goes toward helping us:
- keep our website running smoothly over the summer
- support new and existing contributors with training and resources
- fund future print editions of Redbrick
- hit the ground running when the new academic year begins
Your donation will help Redbrick not only survive but thrive. By following this link, or clicking ‘Donate to Redbrick’ on the website menu, you’ll be supporting student journalism – and the future of journalism as a whole.
Whether you donate £1 or £10, or help to spread the word by sharing the link on your socials, you’ll enable us to keep the presses running and tell the stories that matter most.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for supporting student journalism.
