In the early hours of Sunday, 2 November, a man was found by a member of the public, believed to have been stabbed. The victim, whose age has not been disclosed, was discovered on the outskirts of Birmingham city centre, near the junction of Clement Street and Sand Pits.

A man was treated for serious injuries and conveyed to hospital

West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Police were alerted to the incident around 3:17 am, and the casualty was taken to the hospital, where his injuries were described as serious but ‘not believed to be life-threatening.’

West Midlands Ambulance Service issued a statement about the incident: ‘We were called to a report of a stabbing on Clement Street in Birmingham at 3.17 am on Sunday, November 2. An ambulance was sent to the scene, and colleagues from St John Ambulance were in attendance. A man was treated for serious injuries and conveyed to hospital.

Clement Street was cordoned off for several hours overnight as police carried out their initial investigations into the horrific attack. A forensic tent was quickly set up at the scene, while police conducted CCTV enquiries in the surrounding area.

When approached for comment, West Midlands Police said, ‘We’re investigating after a man was found with stab injuries near the junction of Clement Street and The Parade at around 3.15 am today (2 November).’

‘The man has been taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.’

‘We’re reviewing CCTV as part of our enquiries in the area to establish what happened and who was involved.’

No arrests have yet been made.
